You Can?t Show Up Naked, Even at Downtown Sex Shop
CHICAGO -- Robert Swire, an employee at Frenchy's Adult Book Store was shocked Sunday afternoon when a man entered the store, took off all his clothes and began smoking what he believed to be crack cocaine.
Swire said he walked in the back of the store 872 N. State St and immediately noticed a naked man with all his clothes and belongings around him sitting on the floor and smoking.
“I’ve caught people naked before, but that definitely takes the cake on the weirdest (stuff) I have ever seen,” Swire said. “He was just sitting on the floor naked, smoking a cigarette.”
Swire told the man he had two minutes to leave and told him he was calling police, but the man refused to leave.
About 4 p.m., police responded to a disturbance at the store, but didn’t make an arrest, police News Affairs Officer JoAnn Taylor said. Officers escorted the man out without incident.
Swire said police searched the man for drugs but did not find anything on his body.
“I believe it was crack in the cigarette,” Swire said. “He was pretty incoherent.”
