CHICAGO -- A fire early Sunday inside an apartment in the Woodlawn neighborhood caused several people to be displaced from their home.
Firefighters were notified of a blaze about 1:30 a.m. at 6358 S. King Dr., according to Fire Media Affairs Director Langford. The fire was contained to a single apartment of the building, and was extinguished quickly.
An Emergency Medical Services Plan 1 and a still-and-box alarm were called for the fire. There were no reported injuries.
Langford said a “few” people were displaced because of the fire, but the exact number of people displaced was not available.
