Two Older Men Injured After Jumping From Moving Train in Clarendon Hills
CLARENDON HILLS-- Two men were injured Saturday afternoon, after missing their train stop and jumping from a moving Metra train in west suburban Clarendon Hills.
Shortly after their westbound Metra train left the Clarendon Hills station at 11:09 a.m., a 68-year-old and 56-year-old man, realizing they missed their stop, opened the doors and jumped from the train, according to a release from the Clarendon Hills Police Department.
The two men were found by emergency personnel about four blocks west of the station and were transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries, the release said.
Metra and Burlington Northern Santa Fe stopped train traffic for about 20 minutes after the incident, the release said.
