Mexican Restaurant Employee Shot in East Village

CHICAGO (CBS 2) -- Police are searching this morning for suspects in a restaurant shooting in the East Village neighborhood.

The shooting happened overnight at La Pasadita restaurant, at 1141 N. Ashland Ave. in the city's East Village neighborhood around midnight.

An employee was hit by gunfire during an armed robbery.

He was taken to Stroger Hospital of Cook County in critical condition, but his condition has since been upgraded.
