Are You Ready To Vote in Illinois Primary?

CHICAGO (STNG/WBBM) ― Illinois' Feb. 5 election is still weeks away, but voters can cast ballots beginning Monday, Jan. 14, in the state's earliest ever primary.

Early voting centers in Chicago and across the state opened Monday for all races in the primary, including the presidential contests, state election officials said.

The voting centers remain open until Jan. 31 for early balloting. Only residents who registered to vote between the Jan. 9 and Jan. 22 grace period are barred from the early voting, election officials said.

More voting information can be found at www.chicagoelections.com for Chicago voters, www.voterinfonet.com for suburban Cook County voters or www.elections.il.gov for voters elsewhere in Illinois.
