CHICAGO (WBBM) - The sister of Stacy Peterson tells Newsradio 780 that investigators looking for Stacy have completed their search of one part of the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal and will shift their focus elsewhere.
WBBM's Steve Miller reports.
The search of the Chicago Sanitary and Ship Canal around Romeoville and Lockport has produced debris. But clues to the disappearance of Stacy Peterson?
Stacy's sister Cassandra Cales says investigators are finished with one part of the canal.
"State police and the FBI have finished their search in the canal from lock to lock. And nothing came up. So they're focusing their search efforts elsewhere."
Cales says she trusts the Illinois State Police and the FBI. She says - quote - "They're really pushing forward on this case and I believe they will get whoever did this and bring my sister home."
Newsradio 780 is seeking comment from state police.
Peterson has been named a suspect in his wife's disappearance, which authorities have called a possible homicide, but he has not been charged.
Stacy Peterson, Drew Peterson's fourth wife, was last seen Oct. 28 and was reported missing by her family the next day.
