UPDATE: Security Guard, 22, Shot Multiple Times Dies
CHICAGO -- A store security guard, Howard Long, 22, was shot multiple times during a robbery attempt at a Southwest Side clothing store. He died Friday night in Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn
The Cook County Medical Examiner's office identified Long, of 851 N. Sacramento Blvd. “The prognosis was very poor,” according to Fire Media Affairs Director Larry Langford.
Several men entered a clothing store at 2547 W. 63rd St. about 12:45 p.m. and were in the process of robbing the store when they shot Long. Get M Girlz Apparel is located at that address.
Chicago Lawn District police are investigating.
