Cops' Dad Goes Missing

CHICAGO (STNG) - Police are asking for the public's help finding the father of two Chicago Police officers who has been missing since Thursday morning and suffers from dementia.

Henry Laurich, 81, was last seen leaving his residence in the 4000 block of North LeClaire Avenue about 11 a.m. Laurich was en route to a Costco store in suburban Niles when he went missing, according to a Grand Central Area release.

Laurich is described as 5-foot-8-inch, 170 pounds balding white man with gray hair and hazel eyes, the release said. He speaks with a German accent and suffers from early stages of dementia.

He was last seen driving his green 2000 Dodge Van with license plate No. Y387399 to the Niles Costco at 7311 N. Melvina, the release said.

Anyone who has seen Laurich should call Grand Central Area detectives at (312) 746-8365 or (312) 746-6999.
