A Robbins man was fatally shot early Sunday, authorities said.
Anthony Mathews, 47, of 13542 S. Trumbull Ave., was shot in the 3300 block of West 135th St. and was dead on the scene, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner. An autopsy is scheduled .
Robbins police are investigating.
• A 2-YEAR-OLD GIRL died Saturday afternoon after apparently suffering head trauma.
Delores Martinez, of the 2700 block of West Melrose Street, was pronounced dead at Children’s Memorial Hospital at 2:06 p.m., the Cook County Medical Examiner said.
Martinez hadd head trauma, the spokesman said.
Police responded to a home in the 2700 block of West Melrose Street about 1:30 p.m. where the girl was unresponsive, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
Belmont Area detectives are conducting the death investigation pending the autopsy.
• EFRAIN FAJARDO IS DEAD after being shot while sitting on a porch in the Southwest Side Marquette Park neighborhood Saturday night.
Fajardo, 21, of South Sawyer Ave. was fatally shot at 6010 S. Sawyer Ave. He was pronounced dead at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn at 10:29 p.m., the Cook County Medical Examiner said.
Thevicitm, who had gang affiliations, was sitting on a porch with friends and was shot by an unknown male about 10 p.m., police News Affairs Officer David Banks said. Witnesses said the shooter might have used a rifle in the attack, according to Banks.
No one is in custody. Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
•THREE PEOPLE WERE SHOT late Saturday in the West Side's Lawndale neighborhood.
About 11:30 p.m., ambulances responding to shooting victims in the 1400 block of South Homan Avenue took one person in “serious-to-critical” condition to Mount Sinai Hospital and two people in “good” condition to John H. Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County, fire department spokesman Richard Rosado said.
The shooter got them while they stood on the street and then rane, police said. Harrison Area detectives are investigating the shooting. They have no suspects.
• A 17-YEAR-OLD DIED and another shooting victim was critically wounded in a Saturday night shooting on the South Side.
Emergency crews responded to a call of shooting victims at East 69th Street and South Paxton Avenue just before 9 p.m., Fire Media Affairs spokesman Richard Rosado said.
The two males were standing on the sidewalk when unknown shooters approached them and opened fire, according to police News Affairs. Both were shot multiple times. The teen died in hospital.
The incident was possibly gang-related, police said.
The other vicitm is in University of Chicago Comer Children’s Hospital, in “serious-to-critical” condition, Rosado said.
Calumet Area detectives are investigating.
•A 15-YEAR-OLD BOY was fatally shot Friday night in an apparent gang-related shooting on the block where he lives in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.
Daniel Calderon, of 2310 S. Seeley Ave., was shot at 2019 W. 23rd St. and was pronounced dead at John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County at 12:31 a.m. Saturday, the Cook County Medical Examiner said.
Police said two teen boys were shot in the 2300 block of South Seeley Avenue about 11:20 p.m. Friday. The second teen is in “stable” condition with a gunshot wound to the back.
The two were shot by gunfire from a passing vehicle and the incident is gang-related, News Affairs said. Harrison Area detectives are investigating.
• JOSEPH HALLOM, 36, is dead. He was fatally shot Friday night in a Chicago Housing Authority parking lot in the Pilsen neighborhood.
About 8:30 p.m., police in the vicinity of the 1500 block of West 14th Street heard gunshots, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
Officers found Hallom, of 1009 N. Monticello Ave., shot at 1400 S. Ashland. He was dead in a parking lot near the CHA complex. He was shot multiple times in the torso and was dead on the scene.
Harrison Area detectives are investigating. They have no suspects.
• A TEEN WAS SHOT IN THE HEAD Friday night during a drive-by in the South Side's Back-of-the-Yards neighborhood.
About 7 p.m., the 19-year-old victim was shot in the 5000 block of South Throop Street, police News Affairs Officer JoAnn Taylor said. The victim is hospitalized in "stable" condition, Taylor said.
Wentworth Area detectives are investigating. They have no suspects.
• A MAN WAS SERIOUSLY WOUNDED Saturday morning when he was shot on the Far South Side in the Altgeld Gardens neighborhood.
About 12:30 a.m., the 42-year-old victim was shot by one of two offenders at 242 E. 132nd St. The shooter and his accomplice then ran off, according to police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer.
The victim has a gunshot wound to his shoulder and is in “serious” condition at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn.
A motive is not known. Calumet Area detectives are investigating. They have no suspects.
• TWO MEN ARE HOSPITALIZED, one in critical condition, after being shot during a drive-by in the West Side's Austin neighborhood early Saturday.
The men were in the 5200 block of West Division Street about 1:30 a.m. when a white van passed by and someone inside opened fire.
A 19-year-old was struck in the chest and is in “critical” condition and a 21-year-old was shot in the abdomen and is in “stable” condition. Both are in John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County.
The van drove off. Grand Central Area detectives are investigating. They have no suspects.

• A MAN WAS SHOT multiple times Friday night in a gang-related shooting in the Roseland neighborhood on the Far South Side.
The man was shot in both legs about 11:15 p.m. in the 10200 block of South Wentworth Avenue, police News Affairs Officer Amina Greer said.
He is hospitalized in “good” condition.
The shooting is under investigation by Calumet Area detectives. They have no suspects.
• A MOTHER FOUND her 25-year-old daughter, Isabel Gordillo, shot to death in a garage outside her Little Village home on the Southwest Side on Friday.
A Saturday autopsy determined Gordillo died of multiple gunshot wounds and the death is a homicide, the Cook County Medical Examiner said. She was pronounced dead on the scene in a garage on South Homan Ave.
Harrison Area detectives are investigating the death. They have no motive and no suspects.
• A WEST CHICAGO MAN was arrested and charged with home invasion and aggravated criminal sexual assault after an alleged September attack in the west suburb.
West Chicago police officers arrested Salvador Alvarado, 37, without incident in connection with a sexual assault that took place Sept. 21 in the 700 block of North Pine Street, according to West Chicago police Sgt. Eric Shipman.
Alvarado, of the 200 block of North Neltnor, was charged with home invasion and aggravated criminal sexual assault, both class X felonies which hold a minimum of a six years incarceration and not more than 30 if convicted, according to the sergeant.
• THE DEATH OF Harris Brown, who died Thursday night after being fatally shot in an East Chicago, has been ruled murder.
Brown, 21, was fatally shot at 150 Magoun Ave. and pronounced dead at 8:37 p.m. Thursday at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood, the Cook County Medical Examiner said.
A Saturday autopsy determined Brown died of multiple gunshot wounds and the death is ruled a homicide,.
East Chicago police are investigating. They have no motive and no suspects.
