BARRINGTON -- Three teenagers are in "stable" condition following a rollover crash Friday evening.
Emergency crews initially responded to the intersection of Deep Wood Drive and County Line Road about 6:52 p.m. after a caller reported a three-car accident with a rollover car under water, according to Algonquin-Lake In The Hills Fire Protection District Chief Fred Schau.
A dive team was sent to the scene following the initial report of a car under water, Schau said. But, when crews arrived at the scene they found the Honda CR-V in a ditch with about a foot of water in it, Schau said.
Three teen victims are in Advocate Good Shepard Hospital in Barrington in “stable” condition, Schau said.
Three ambulances responded to the crash, including an ambulance from the Barrington Countryside Fire Protection District. The accident happened on the south side of County Line Road, which is in Barrington’s jurisdiction, so Barrington police are investigating.
