CHICAGO (WBBM) -- A judge has ordered psychological testing for a teenage boy accused of posing as a Chicago police officer last winter.
The 14-year old appeared in Juvenile Court this morning.
According to the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office, Judge Andrew Berman also ordered the boy’s mother to cooperate in the scheduling of the mental exam and to appear every time the boy has a court date.
In January, the boy is alleged to have fooled real police at the Grand Crossing District into thinking he was one of them. He even patrolled with a real police partner for several hours before police realized they’d been duped.
Last month….the boy led police on a chase in a car he had allegedly stolen from a new car dealership on the South Side.
Judge Berman wants the results of the psychological exam in time for the next court date, June 26th.
