Teens say ice cream truck driver acted inappropriately

ELMHURST, Ill. (STNG) -- A 66-year-old ice cream truck driver has been charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly inappropriately touching himself while handing out ice cream to a group of 14-year-olds in west suburban Elmhurst.
Mahmoud Al Nasa of S. Mason Ave. in Chicago was arrested at 5:37 p.m. Saturday after he approached three 14-year-old students near Bryan Middle School at 111 W. Butterfield Rd. and allegedly reportedly asked them to kiss each other for free ice cream.
He sold ice cream to the group earlier that day, and found them walking home from the school before approaching them again, Police Cmdr. Dan Buenz said.
Two of the teens were dating and agreed to kiss for the ice cream. Al Nasa reportedly then asked the boy to kiss another girl, and one of the students saw him touching himself on top of his pants. There were no indications he exposed himself.
The group left the area and reported the incident to one of their parents, who called police. An officer located Al Nasa farther north of the school near Church Street and Kenmore Avenue with his zipper partially down, Buenz said.
"(The teens) obviously were a little disturbed," he said.
Al Nasa had been operating his truck with an up-to-date license issued by the city, where ordinance requires all vendors to obtain a license and pass a background check.
Buenz said Al Nasa Ice Cream is one of only two vendors licensed to operate in town. The only offense that showed up through his background check was operating with an expired license in the past. He also worked in Lombard.
Al Nasa denied touching himself in front of the teens, Buenz said.
