Suit Claims Abuse in Palos Hills Elementary School Gym Class
PALOS HILLS -- The North Palos Elementary School District is sued by Nicole Grabenhofer. She alleges her son, Joseph, was abused by teacher Robert Rago during gym class.
The Grabenhofers are suing the district and Rago for more than $50,000. The suit claims that on May 27, 2003, Rago assaulted Joseph, then 10 years old and in fifth grade, in a "fit of rage." Joseph fell and hit his head hard enough for a wound to appear, the suit said.
School District 117, North Palos Elementary School District is also a target of the suit, which claims the district should have known of Rago's "violent nature."
