SUV crashes into suburban nursing home
|
MIDLOTHIAN, Ill. (CBS) ― From the looks of things, it's lucky that a sport-utility vehicle didn't crash into a nursing home in south suburban Midlothian just a few hours later than it did.
The SUV plowed into the Plaza Terrace Nursing Center, at 3249 147th St., around midnight Monday night.
An entire wall was destroyed at the facility.
The vehicle hit the home's day room, which is normally filled with people. But only one worker was inside, who suffered knee injuries.
Also, call it a holiday miracle – the Christmas tree was unscathed.
