Re-live Apollo 11, online
Regine Schlesinger Reporting

CHICAGO (WBBM) -- A new website launched today, recreates, minute-by-minute, the Apollo 11 mission that first took man to the man 40 years ago.
WBBM's Regine Schlesinger reports it allows newer generations to see what they missed and those who were around in 1969 to re-live the experience.
Veteran space journalist Miles O'Brien says the website, operated by the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library, celebrates the historic mission that allowed man to take his first steps on the moon's surface, "You will see over the period of time from launch to those footsteps...a real time plus 40 year version of that mission."
O'Brien says based on the actual conversations between the astronauts and mission control, the website features virtual tweets by the crew. He says it's a way to hook younger viewers but, the site is also great for those who saw it happen 40 years ago.
"It's a great walk down memory lane...a very exciting way of telling history," according to O'Brien.
