Sex Offenders Living Too Close To Children Illinois law prohibits registered child sex offenders from residing within 500 feet of schools, parks and playgrounds, but an investigation by WBBM Newsradio 780 found these dangerous predators living too close to children in neighborhoods across Chicago.
Police ‘Aware’ of Wilson Men’s Club Offenders, But Powerless to Act Residents in Chicago's Uptown neighborhood expected law enforcement to act quickly after learning about the eight child sex offenders living at the Wilson Men's Club Hotel at 1124 W. Wilson. The building is located just feet away from Truman College where there's a Head Start program, a daycare center and an alternative high school for teenagers.
