Police Sergeant Charged With Stealing From Union

CHICAGO (STNG) -- A Chicago Police sergeant was arrested Friday morning on allegations he stole hundreds of thousands of dollars from the Chicago Police Sergeants' Association, a source said.
The sergeant, whose name was not disclosed, is a member of the association, the source said.
He was the target of a joint investigation by Chicago Police and the Cook County State's Attorney's office.
Officials are expected to reveal more details of their investigation at a press conference at 1:15 p.m. at the state's attorney's office at 69 W. Washington.
