CHICAGO (WBBM) -- More than a dozen members of St. Sabina Church rallied at the state of Illinois building, pleading with lawmakers to pass what the lawmakers call common sense gun laws.
Father Michael Pfleger spearheaded the gathering.
"I blame all those legislators in southern Illinois who say this is not our issue. They used to say that about drugs until it got into their communities than all of a sudden it became everybody's issue."
The church is offering a $5000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of gun runners. Those buying hundreds of weapons at gun shows and the selling them on the streets.
