CHICAGO (WBBM) -- As the saying goes, “you never get a second chance … to make a first impression” … Drew Peterson is hoping to change that .. by hiring a public relations expert to reshape his public image.
Publicists Glenn Selig tells Newsradio 780 Peterson is in a no win situation in the court of public opinion claiming no matter what he does people are going to be skeptical.
But he says there is another side to Peterson, calling him soft spoken and nice. He says for the last few months’ people have only seen one side of Peterson, adding the former Bolingbrook police officer didn’t do himself any favors with some of his antics.
But he says that was the way Peterson coped with his circumstances. Selig says Peterson knows his situation doesn’t look good, but just because things appear to be a certain way doesn’t mean they are.
He also says that there may come a time when Peterson has to face people who will be asked to judge him and he says those people should have the educated and full story of Drew Peterson.
Selig says he is not retooling Peterson’s image, just letting people see the side of Peterson that is normal and dealing with an extraordinary situation.
