It's been agonizing for cornerback Nathan Vasher to sit for eight games with a slightly torn groin muscle, but the wait may be about to end. Vasher said if it's up to him, he will be on the field Sunday against the New York Giants.
"It's probably the toughest thing I've ever been through in my life," said Vasher. "But considering the things that have happened around the league especially with Sean(Taylor) and different things like that, you've got to know it's a privilege and we're definitely blessed to be out here every day so if that's the toughest thing I have to go through is an injury, I've got it pretty easy."
Vasher has practiced twice this week, and if he's cleared to return look for the Giants to test the veteran cornerback. Vasher's conditioning could be a challenge after two months of limited to no running. |
