Man found fatally shot on South Side sidewalk



CHICAGO (STNG) -- A man was found fatally shot on the sidewalk near his home Sunday evening on the South Side.

Gregory Tuck, 22, of the 6700 block of S. Artesian Ave., was shot at 6800 S. Artesian Ave. and was pronounced dead at 5:47 p.m. Sunday at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

Police responded about 4:45 p.m. to a report of a shooting and found the man dead on the sidewalk, police News Affairs Sgt. Antoinette Ursitti said.

Police said the man suffered multiple gunshot wounds. An autopsy is scheduled for later Monday, the medical examiner’s office said.

Wentworth Area detectives are investigating.
