WAUKEGAN, Ill. (CBS/STNG) ― A man hired to protect high school students in the far north suburbs is now in jail, charged with having child pornography on his cell phone and computer.
Christopher Bosak, 25, of Kenosha Wis., is a security guard at Grayslake North High School. He was charged with child pornography and is being held in the custody of Lake County Jail on $150,000 bond, Grayslake police Cmdr. Matt McCutcheon said Wednesday.
Police said on Nov. 6 a staff member discovered the photos of a 16-year-old female student on a compact disc that belonged to Bosak.
He was then ordered to talk to Grayslake investigators, and later admitted to police of his wrongdoing.
Bosak was also charged with impersonating a police officer when telling the girl he was a Lake County Sheriff's deputy to gain her trust, McCutcheon said.
It is unknown how long Bosak and the girl had been involved, but authorities believed "it had been several weeks."
Police also discovered Bosak had more lewd photos on his cell phone and personal computer.
McCutcheon said there could be additional charges levied against Bosak.
Police are also checking to see if other students were photographed.
Grayslake High School District 127 officials released a statement on the district Web site in response to Bosak's arrest.
