Former student suffers graze wound outside Evanston High
EVANSTON (STMW) -- A former student suffered an apparent graze wound in a shooting outside Evanston Township High School Friday night.
The shooting at 600 Dodge Ave. was reported about 9 p.m., according to an Evanston Fire Dept. captain.
Evanston boys basketball coach Bobby Locke said the shooting occurred in a parking lot area outside the high school and apparently involved a former high school student, who suffered a graze wound. His age and condition was not immediately known.
Evanston had just defeated Niles West 67-55 when the shooting occurred, Locke said.
Evanston police were not immediately available for comment Friday night.
