LAKE FOREST, Ill. (AP) ― Quarterback Jay Cutler says there's no need for Brian Urlacher to apologize for his recent comments, that he understands the linebacker's frustration and there's no rift between the Chicago Bears' stars.
Their relationship again was the subject of discussion after Urlacher questioned the Bears' direction during an interview with Yahoo! Sports over the weekend. Urlacher wondered why the Bears went from emphasizing the run to the pass.
That was viewed by many as a shot at Cutler. But the quarterback says Urlacher doesn't have to apologize, and Cutler adds: "I understand what he's talking about."
