CHICAGO (AP) - Some vendors who sell T-shirts and other fan paraphernalia outside Chicago's Wrigley Field are upset over a city proposal to move peddlers more than two blocks from the ballpark.
Alderman Thomas Tunney has argued the ban would improve safety and help clear streets. According to the proposal, the ban would start two hours before the start and end of Chicago Cubs games or concerts.
Similar restrictions are in place outside of U.S. Cellular Field where the White Sox play.
But vendors say the excitement around Wrigley fuels sales and adds to the atmosphere.
Forty-six-year-old Joe Sienkiewicz, who sells T-shirts, says he'll be out of work.
