CHICAGO (WBBM) -- If you have an iPhone, you can now track Chicago's bid for the 2016 summer Olympics. WBBM's Regine Schlesinger reports the countdown is on.
150 days before the International Olympic Committee chooses the host city, organizers of Chicago's bid are unveiling a new iPhone application that will display the countdown to October 2nd.
It also will offer users a daily fun fact about Chicago's bid and trivia about the Olympics and the Paralympic games. It's the latest interactive move by Chicago 2016. The city says it's the first to use youtube, Twitter, Facebook and now, the iPhone application in its bid.
