CHICAGO -- Kevin Kleine, 23, will be 25 before he can see his Cubbies in person again.
Kleine pleaded guilty to charges he ran onto Wrigley Field in June after his buddies agreed to pay him $400.
Cook County John J. Moran sentenced Kleine sentenced to two years’ probation, five day’s of work with the Cook County Sheriff’s Work Alternative Program and drug and alcohol counseling, according to Cook County State’s Attorney’s office spokesman Tandra Simonton.
Kleine is also banned from Wrigley Field for two years as part of his sentence, Simonton said.
After initially being charged with two counts of criminal trespass to a public place of amusement, Kleine pleaded guilty to only one count, as part of his plea agreement, said State’s Attorney’s office spokesman Andy Conklin.
Kleine, of Hoffman Estates, and his friends were at a Cubs game against Atlanta on June 1 when his friends agreed to pay him $400 for running on the field. Kleine was quickly apprehended.
