ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. (STNG) -- A woman arrested for robbing a north suburban tobacco store earlier this month has also been charged with two previous armed robberies.
Karin E. Bach, 59, of 560 W. Lodge Trail in Wheeling, was charged March 10 with two counts of aggravated robbery for allegedly holding up the China Wok restaurant on Palatine Road in Arlington Heights on Feb. 3, Arlington Heights police officials said.
About 9 p.m. the same night, a woman robbed a 7-Eleven store less than a mile away at Windsor and Hintz Road. In both robberies, witnesses said the woman showed a revolver and carried a purse. Bach has been charged with that crime also, and is scheduled to appear in court in Rolling Meadows on April 4.
Bach was arrested March 1 when three men saw her leave Payless Tobacco on McHenry Road in Buffalo Grove after showing a handgun to a sales clerk and demanding money, according to Buffalo Grove police.
The men followed her when she drove away in a silver Pontiac and police arrested her at the intersection of Lake-Cook and Buffalo Grove roads. Bach's court date for the Buffalo Grove robbery is Saturday in Waukegan.
Her bond was set at $25,000 each for the Cook County and Lake County cases. |
